In Oaxaca
In December 2025, I played one of the most memorable weddings of my career at the Jardín Etnobotánico de Oaxaca — a reception inside a botanical garden in the heart of the colonial city, planned by Vero Vivas and her team. The production was immaculate. The setting was breathtaking. And the couple were exactly the kind of people who make a night like this possible — true music lovers with a wide, stylish, international crowd and a clear vision for what they wanted.
The brief was ambitious: salsa, merengue, cumbia, Afro-Venezuelan tambor, la hora loca, house, hip hop, bad bunny, and a seamless blend of everything else the room needed across the night. No genre boundaries, no predictable wedding playlist, just music that honored where we were and who was in the room. Dinner turned into dancing early, and the dance floor never really gave people a reason to leave.
The wedding was later featured in The Anti Bride, with Alexa writing: "Mason Worth Dunn was simply outstanding. Professional, thoughtful, and a true music nerd in the best way. He knows his shit."
Oaxaca is unlike anywhere else in Mexico. A UNESCO World Heritage city with ancient markets, extraordinary food, a thriving art scene, and a culture that runs deep. Couples choose Oaxaca because they want something that feels rooted and real — not a resort, not a beach package. The Jardín Etnobotánico is one of the most extraordinary event spaces in the country, and it draws couples with genuine taste and high expectations. That's exactly where I want to be.
What working with me in Oaxaca looks like:
I handle everything on the music side from our first call through the final song — ceremony flow, cocktail hour, and a reception set built specifically around you. I coordinate directly with your planner and work with trusted local production teams. Oaxaca has its own rhythm, and the music should reflect that.
