Meet Mason
I usually tell couples I’m a non-wedding DJ wedding DJ.
​
What I mean is that most wedding DJs don’t have real club or festival experience, and most club DJs don’t understand weddings. I’ve spent nearly 20 years doing both.
​
I started DJing in 2006 and have worked as a hip hop club resident, underground electronic festival artist, reggae DJ, disco dealer, salsa selector, and just about everything in between. Outside of weddings, I regularly play clubs and festivals, run my own event productions, and produce music from my studio.
​
Since 2011, destination weddings have taken me from Costa Rica to Mexico, Brazil, the US, Canada, and across Europe. I’ve worked with more than 600 couples, played thousands of events, and am currently represented by Vulevu and Downtown Talent Agency. Outside of weddings, I am a festival and event organizer, artist and music producer under the name Burika.

Clients choose to work with me because I don’t use generic playlists, I’m not limited by genre boundaries, and I pay close attention to what each couple wants—and what they definitely do not want.
